La semana Santa

I have attached: A PPT - It has games and explanations in English and the main vocabulary is in Spanish. Keep an eye out for links to videos (procession and the song) - It has a few games ready made and prizes you can give along the way.

Also attached is a Capirote cut out that they can decorate during class(KS3), I usually give a prize to the best one. I use this lesson as a Festival lesson with KS4.

NOTE: Now, when the children see the outfits, they usually say it looks like they are part of the Klu Klux Klan: I always explain to them that the KKK copied the idea (to hide their faces) from these outfits that have been around since the 13th century. Historically the CAPIROTE was used as a sign of humiliation and was used by the ones being punished by the church, in time the Spanish brotherhoods (Cofradias) took it on as a penance for their sins.
