Students think the link and then answer three key questions;
What is the link between the pictures?
How does this link to tectonics?
What is our Learning Objective going to be?
Students read through the information about the Nepal earthquake and sort it into the correct category' which they record on to their worksheet. Students complete the final box and come up with an overall conclusion to the question “Why did Esha die in the Nepal earthquake?” Learning check so students know the difference between immediate and long term responses.
Students are given a model answer to mark using the mark scheme and then are to complete the exam question: Explain the immediate and long term responses to the Nepal earthquake. (6) Peer marking could be completed depending on the timings in the lesson.
Students evaluate which response to the Nepal earthquake was the most effective?
