Cluedo meets OS maps in this whodunnit game!

You will need a copy of OS Explorer Map 24: The White Peak District to play this game.

In pairs or teams, students must use the OS map check the character alibi statements. The goal is to find out which two characters are telling lies. Each statement will include a 4 figure grid reference and an OS map symbol for the students to check.

There are 5 sets of character cards, each with 12 statements. Your students will therefore have 60 grid references and map symbols to check, but you can reduce the number of characters for a quicker game.

The area around Bakewell covered by this game is approximately A3 in size so you can fold the map to a manageable size for your students.

This is a great resource for KS3, KS4 and KS5 OS map skills, particularly if you are doing a case study on the Peak District or are looking for a productive end of term activity.
