Pablo Picasso (Malaga, Spain 1881-near Cannes, France 1973) was a Spanish painter, probably the most famous painter of the 20th century. As well as a painter, he was a sculptor, print maker, ceramicist, lithographer, illustrator and stage designer for the theatre and ballet. He also wrote poetry and plays.
With the French artist Georges Braque, he is the creator of Cubism.

This lesson about Picasso is based on a PPT template. Students are prompted to research and add information. It is self-directed, allowing students to use their research skills and build their own knowledge base of Picasso’s work. This presentation would make an excellent introduction to Picasso and cubism. It can work in a flipped classroom setting, as inspiration for practical work, as home learning and as a cover lesson.
