After a very concise introduction to the irregular verbs in the past tense (following the studio 2 rouge), this is a lesson focusing particularly on them. Pupils play a game where they match up past tense sentences in French with their translation, then they learn the main irregular verbs and then they do a board game (taken somewhere here in TES). There is also a translation task to encourage development of this skill in light of the new GCSE exam.
