The resource is for KS4 students. It focuses not just on exponential graphs but on a skill that many students lack: the ability to read answers off a graph.
The resource consists of a presentation and a worksheet. Worked solutions for every question in the worksheet is included in the presentation.
The lesson starts with revision of finding the value of bases raised to an index. There is then an exercise in evaluating bases raised to an index and then converting fractions into decimals.
An example of plotting an exponential graph and using the graph to solve an equation is shown. Students then do three questions on the worksheet.
The process is repeated for finding the value of a base raised to an index multiplied by an integer.
