This resource provides a step by step art project suitable for year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. The photocopiable work book guides students through a range of fun, informative, creative processes. All tasks are related to the natural world and encourage students to engage with the environment. Tasks are "self differentiating" , meaning that students of all abilities can access the tasks and develop work at an appropriate level. Students are also introduced to a range of artists along the way. Each task build on the previous one and culminates in the student devising a final outcome (a final piece of artwork).

Also included is an extensive photographic library of natural images to provide inspiration to students. Photographic files included are:

Plants

Insects

Fungi

Birds

Natural textures

Flowers

Fish

Trees

This project could be a great creative addition to lessons on nature and environment

This resource has been devised specifically for Primary Schools by Mael Matthews, experienced Head of Art at a UK Grammar School and Senior A level Art Moderator (examiner) for one of the Uk's leading exam boards.
