This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on proportion is linked to the Year 6 National Curriculum. In total there are nine slides:
Slides 1,2,4 and 5 (teach) - Step by step instructions with examples of how to solve problems involving proportion and direct proportion
Slides 3, 6 and 7 (practise) - Slides 3 and 6 have questions for the children to solve linked to proportion whilst slide 7 contains the answers.
Slides 8 and 9 (extend) - Slide 8 has some more challenging questions where the children really have to think and apply their knowlegde. Slide 9 has the answers.
The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard and providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. Great for a lesson starter, revision or early morning activity. It is aimed at the Year 6 maths objective but can be used at any time during KS2.
