This resource has been designed for the current COVID-19 situation and the third lockdown which has resulted in teachers teaching online.

This package of resources is suitable for any psychology student (GCSE or A level) and for any specification. It has been designed to teach/reteach basic research method knowledge and knowledge of approaches and debates. As we currently don’t know what the exams will look like, it is work that is beneficial regardless of what the exams will look like as it covers foundation knowledge that anyone studying psychology should know. This specific resource is part of a larger package which can all be purchased separately. This resource has 3 lesson within it (4 hours worth of content) which would easily last for a week of online learning but I have also included lots of extension worksheets and activities so it could last for 2-3 weeks. This unit on research methods (correlations) includes:

  • Correlation powerpoint to share and teach online (it includes recap sections of the lesson to comply with government advice about checking understanding)
  • 2 practical correlations with worksheets for students to complete and write up
  • A scaffolded template for students to complete and write up their own correlation
  • Correlation hypotheses worksheet
  • Correlation exam style questions (4 different sets of questions with data)
  • Mark schemes for self assessment to make assessment and tracking easier
