Read Write inc. Reception workbook

This workbook is specially designed to support the growing literacy skills of Reception 2 learners, who are now ready to take more confident strides in reading, blending, segmenting, and writing. At this stage, children are not just recognising sounds they’re beginning to read with purpose and write with growing independence.
Through the Read Write Inc. programme, this workbook builds upon the strong foundations laid in earlier years. Children will review previously learned Set 1 sounds, master Set 2 and Set 3 sounds, and become more fluent in blending sounds to read simple words, phrases, and full sentences.
Writing tasks are now introduced more purposefully. With improved pencil control and strengthened fine motor skills, children will be encouraged to form letters neatly, compose short sentences, and even begin using basic punctuation.
