In this lesson, students will learn all about what happens in the womb during gestation. They will learn about fertilisation and how the foetus develops in the womb. They will look at each month of pregnancy specifically, understanding key developments and comparing to the size of a fruit or vegetable for easy understanding! They will be quizzed on their learning throughout.

For the tasks, they will have to match up the descriptions of development with the month of gestation before then writing an overview of pregnancy for an expecting mother. Finally, they will look at gestation periods of different animals.

A knowledge organiser for Animals including Humans is included.
