This lesson is for KS4 students taking the Higher paper.

Lesson starts with the revision of solving quadratic equations. Students are then asked to complete equations from the roots and to find the roots from the equation. Inverted quadratic graphs and their equations are also revised.

Quadratic inequalities are explained using graphs. Students’ understanding and appreciation of one part and two part solutions are tested using two matching activities.

A full example of finding a quadratic inequality is given and students are given the steps to do the same with a worksheet consisting of 10 questions. Full worked solutions including graphs are included.
