Students love to be able to have a starting point or reference point, its a must in my class and each student has its own bunddle with all mats - all tenses - works as a motivator to see who can give an answer with the most tenses and encourage them to get the higher exam notes.
My Verb MATs are color coded for quick identification - green for present tense as its fresh - green in your mind.
Blue for my Preterite / as i use it to say you have the blues, what are your memories of what you did last summer.
