SQUEAL learning mat - teaching an alternative to PEE (Point, Evidence, Explain)

SQUEAL was designed by a MA graduate as an alternative to PEE that can be used at all levels. It encourages the student to explore rather than explain and to consider the audience's response to the text, which incorporates the writers intention into their response.

I use this as a laminated learning mat with a list of connectives on the reverse side - students at all levels have responded really well and find it makes them develop their ideas in a more detailed way.

SQUEAL can be used at all levels GCSE, A level, Highers, Grade 10, Grade 12 and beyond.
