End-of-Term Summer Time Capsule Project

Project Duration: Approximately 3 hours
Suitable for: Primary-aged children

To celebrate the end of the school year, children will take part in a fun and creative Summer Time Capsule Project. This activity gives them a chance to reflect on everything they’ve achieved, capture their favourite memories, and look ahead to the summer holidays with excitement.

Children will design and decorate their own time capsule boxes with colourful, summer-themed artwork. They’ll then fill their capsules with a selection of personalised worksheets, including:

A letter to their future self

A summer bucket list

A self-portrait

Favourite memories from the school year

“All About Me” snapshots of who they are now

The project encourages creativity, self-expression, and reflection in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. The time capsule can be taken home as a keepsake or opened in the new school year for a wonderful moment of reflection and growth.
