Three creative dance lesson plans aimed at KS1 using themes and ideas from Enid Blyton’s classic book.
The lessons are based on
- Up The Tree - covering ideas of the main characters climbing the tree
- Dame Washalot - exploring actions connected to washing clothes, throwing away the water and dodging it or getting wet
- The Land of Take What You Want - using the various items the character select to explore different movement qualities
Each lesson plan gives step by step instructions for the teacher which enable the pupils to generate, refine and perform their own movement ideas. The skills for each section are identified to support the non-specialist to deliver a high quality dance lesson.
A suggestion for the music is also included which can be accessed through a range of platforms such as YouTube, iTunes or Spotify,
