A teaching resource for photography teachers and facilitators that can be adapted from school up to university level, that has been developed from my twenty years of knowledge and experience as a photographer and visual arts teacher.

It includes theory, both practical and research activities that can be done in class or as homework, instruction, consolidation time and write up in to workbook slides.

You are free to use this how is suits you best; delete bits, add bits change bits etc. Make sure to do a run through of it in presenter mode first so you can see how it works and so on.

By the nature of exploring visual language across photographic practice, the work featured in this PowerPoint lesson comes from a range of sources and practitioners. These are either cited, refereneced or are hyperlinked via the image itself, throughout the slidedeck to acknowledge where these images are from.

This resource lesson has been made in July of 2025.

Do not resell or reuse (outside of a teaching scenario) any of the content of this lesson or powerpoint.
