A large second collection of resources for Unit 1 (Changing Awareness of Crime) - AC1.3, AC1.4, AC1.5 and AC1.6 for the WJEC Level 3 Applied Certificate/Diploma in Criminology. These resources contain Powerpoint presentations and activities including embedded video and separate tasks.

AC1.3 - Explain the consequences of unreported crime - a group activity/presentation on the various consequences of crimes being left unreported. Some of the more complex consequences have been offered in a presentation, with 5 remaining consequences for individual groups to research. The 3 more complex consequences can also be given to groups for presenting.

AC1.4 - Describe media representation of crime - a massive presentation covering a wide variety of forms of media and their representation/or misrepresentation of crime.

AC1.5 - Explain the impact of media representations on the public perception of crime - an in-depth look into the effects that modern media have had on our understanding of crime and how modern crimes are portrayed, with particular focus on major world events.

AC1.6 - Evaluate methods of collecting statistics about crime - a conclusion to the statistics that have been gathered throughout AC1.1 and 1.2, including guidesheets on how to structure an effective evaluation.

The lessons contained herein are intended to cover a further 6 weeks of Unit 1, with a wide variety of activities, videos, Kahoot (also created by the author), and debate.
