A collection of resources for Unit 2 (Criminological Theories) - AC1.1 & 1.2 for the WJEC Level 3 Applied Certificate/Diploma in Criminology. These resources contain Powerpoint presentations and activities including embedded video, Kahoot quiz links, discussions and separate tasks.

AC1.1 - Compare criminal behaviour and deviance - an exceptionally detailed look into the differences between crime and deviance, introducing Sociological theories that will be referred to throughout, including labelling theory and self-fulfilling prophecy.

AC1.2 - Explain the social contruction of criminality - a varied and detailed series of resources exploring why laws are different from place to place, and in different time periods, preparaing learners for a collection of debates on topics relevant to the criteria, including chaneges to gun laws and the death penalty.

The lessons contained herein are intended to cover the first 4 weeks of Unit 2, with a wide variety of activities, research tasks, Kahoot (also created by the author), and debates.
