YEAR 10:LESSON 2-3, DENOTATIONS, CONNOTATIONS AND SEMIOTICS= This lesson explores the notion of semiotics with a close focus upon denotations, connotations. It uses the 'This Girl Can' and the 'Quality Street' advert Media Forms from Component 1, Section A. This lesson includes a Homework resource also.
NOTE: I am following EDUQAS Teaching Model 1 in my teaching/ SOW.
(Each lesson is laid out as I teach my own class but I have added notes at the bottom of some of the slides e.g. on the Media Teaser, to aide teachers. All lessons are developed with differentiation, assessment/challenge as well as engagement entrenched heavily within all my resources. Moreover, constant reference is made throughout to the selected Examiner Media forms and is clearly laid out so that students quickly become accustomed to which forms fall under which section of each Component/ Exam ).
Another outstanding resource! Do the Year Ten resources come in a bundle? I am likely to purchase the lot!<br />

I am an experienced teacher who is new to teaching Media Studies. This is a daunting task made easier by quality resources such as these. <br />

I have had some access to resources, but I haven't come across any that are this engaging and easy to access; they are easily adaptable for teaching from 2019. Many thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for the kind review/words, it is greatly appreciated, especially at this time of the year and having survived the first set of exams. With regards to bundles, there are some already on here with regards to GCSE e.g. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/the-complete-bond-unit-sec-a-representation-and-media-lang-sec-b-industry-11821740. The Year 10 lessons were intended to give people a quicker start to the two-year teaching of the course, as opposed to teaching the course in three years as I currently do. Therefore, they cross over/ catch up with the other GCSE resources.<br />

Currently, due to the sheer number of resources I have uploaded with regards to the GCSE, I have not yet gone back through and converted each unit into a bundle. That said, if there is something in particular you wanted that is not currently available, please feel free to post below a breakdown and I will strive to upload it ASAP at a subsidized Bundle price. <br />

Just to let you know that I have now created a bundle for each unit, Component 1 and 2. Each Bundle contains all of the lessons needed and if bought together as a set consists of all of the planning/ Power points from Year 9-11. Sadly, I am not able to group all of the bundles into one easy-to-purchase bundle due to limitations on the TES but each bundle works out at about a 25-30% discount more or less, so works out a lot cheaper. <br />
