Average Rating4.55
(based on 32 reviews)

This shop is mostly aimed at Physics resources that fit the current KS3 and KS4 (AQA) schemes of learning. Most resources will contain specific learning activities that are differentiated by outcome/task and the power points are SEN accessible (with appropriate chunking of information and pale background colouring). There will sometimes be random science topics from biology chemistry in which have worked well with classes. Feel free to browse!

This is a single lesson taken from the KS3 Explaining chemical changes SoL The lesson is fully differentiated into Low, Mid, High and GCSE tasks and can be fully adaptable to any scale of learning (e.g. AWOL, 9-1). Pupils will: 1. Explain what causes indigestion 2. Explain how an antacid works simply 3. Plan an investigation to determine which type of antacid is the best on the market 4. (Key skill - Identifying and discussing control variables) Great lesson for developing scientific literacy and key skills. Follow this on with the practical on a seperate lesson. Includes: Full lesson on Power point including control variable scaffolds and models

A year 9 homelearning booklet which covers some of the key concepts that students will have learned during year 7 and 8. I have been using this since september and set one sheet per week. So far I have received excellent feedback from students Questions are repeated over time to try and improve knowledge retention rate and general understanding of foundation concepts in science. Topics covered are: Forces Electricity Cells and organisation Health and Nutrition Energy Atoms, elements and compounds (including atomic structure) Chemical reactions Respiration and photosynthesis

New AQA Synergy (Rate and extent of chemicals changes) - Rates of reaction

Fully differentiated lesson aimed at develop student understanding of calculating mean rates of reaction and reaction rate at a point on a graph. The lesson is aimed at supporting students with their data and graph handling skills with 3 points of assessment that really tests them. *This is ideal for an hour lesson and if needed a practical can easily be used instead of the graph plotting activity.

New AQA Physics (Energy unit) - Energy Resources

This lesson is part of the new AQA Physics energy unit. It focuses on allowing students to develop their knowledge on energy resources and sustainability. Students are asked to select appropriate renewable energy sources for an island taking into consideration social, economic and environmental factors. The task itself takes a fully independent approach and develops many key skills such as: Decision making, communication, team work, mathematical and analytical skills. Students must justify their decisions and work towards given deadlines. The work is differentiated by outcome and there is opportunity for students to peer-assess. I would advise that the lesson takes 1.5 hours to complete. Worksheets and powerpoint included. (Sorry for the large files but the images are HD!) Please review to improve!
