covering forces, energy types, density, pressure and circuits. This is a pdf and a publisher file, you will have to add your own diagrams to the publisher file. I laminate these questions and then get an answer sheet from Zipgrade.com. This will mark it as fast as your phone can scan it and show you scores student by student or question by question. Great for targeting feed back.

YOu know that time of term when you need something which will work their brains but not look too much like work and give you some time to mark books etc?? Well look no further. These KS3 questions will give you that! They answer the questions and use the answer to colour the correct square in the grid. IT should spell Happy Xmas but what letter has been missed out?

This quiz covers moments, the solar system, light, sound and energy resources. Thirty questions in total, six on each topic. I use it with the zip grade app which will mark it as quickly as your phone will scan it and score by pupil and by question. Great for targeted feedback. A pdf and a publisher file. Display with 11 famous scientists mainly involved with Physics! From Archimedes through Galileo, Hook, Newton, and on to Einstein. Very handy when teaching displacement etc so you can refer to the scientist. These posters have their historical dates and a brief Bio. Can be used as a frieze around a classroom. The other file has some historical occurrences you can put in between the scientists to get some historical context.

This is a pupil pack for the class to do their work in while you work on sound. It includes some experiments, computer research and graduated differentiation tasks. There is a guide to help you use the pack. Covers all the work required by the ISEB. This is a publisher file, there is also a PDF version included. Data loggers equipt to record sound are needed for one of the experiments. Thoughts, comments and suggestions to hoppersphysics@sky.com

Density questions

This is a selection of questions about density. The first section covers the use of the density formula with some guidance on how to use any 2 of the 3 values to calculate the third. There is then space for some revision/summary notes on this. The second section tests experimental techniques and includes some calculations based on the measurements made in the experiment. This is linked to the Hoppers physics pack available free at https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/Hoppersphysics with the learning objective shown by each question noted in the question to allow students to look up the relevant work. This work is appropriate for KS3 or Common entrance. There are 8 pages of questions.

This is a selection of questions on density and pressure at a ks 3, common entrance level. It contains both calculations and questions about experiments into working out the pressure of a block, density of a block, density of a liquid and an irregular object. There is a harder public school scholarship question at the end. This resource is a word file and is editable.

Basic circuits and series and parallel introduction

This is for pupils looking at circuits around year 7. It is suitable for KS3 and ISEB common entrance. It reviews/introduces basic circuit symbols and then has different circuits to make to compare the brightness of bulbs. A great way to get the pupils making their circuits accurately. They are then asked to find out about series and parallel circuits and classify the circuits in the experiment into these two groups. After that there are a couple of questions about the advantages of parallel circuits over series circuits.
