The Hydrogen Hub have used their knowledge to develop this fantastic lesson pack on fuel cells. Designed for teaching GCSE Chemistry specification parts AQA 4.5.2.2, Edexcel 5.25C, 5.26C, 5.27C, OCR C6.2o, C6.2p, C6.2q. This pack contains all of the resources for a lesson on this topic. The presentation includes animated videos to explain the context of fuel cells to tackle climate change, as a hook for pupils, as well as teaching the specifics needed to develop the required knowledge on fuel cells. There are also other tasks including exam-style questions (with mark scheme), a gap-fill exercise alongside the videos, a structured debate, a HW competition and revision cards. The resource is fully differentiated. Please refer to the lesson plan for information on how the various tasks are designed to work. ‘Sustainable Cities: Air Pollution in Urban Environments’ aims to support students in Years 9, 10, or 11 (13-16 years old) with their learning for GCSE Geography, focussing on the sustainable urban development sections of the curriculum. This 1 hour lesson is primarily delivered by teachers. A series of fun, interactive and informative activities will help pupils to learn about the sustainability challenges cities face, strategies for improving their sustainability, the role of governments in setting regulations, frameworks for improving the sustainability of urban environments and how efforts to improve their sustainability impact different groups. The lesson takes an in-depth look at air pollution as an applied case study. Critical to making urban environments more sustainable is the role of businesses. The lesson addresses BNP Paribas’ role in promoting more sustainable cities and tackling air pollution through their work. It will be accompanied by a video animation. The material covers key themes taught across multiple exam board specifications. Specifically targeting: • Edexcel: Topic 4, 5, 6.1, and 8.1 • AQA: Sections 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.3, and 3.3.1 • OCR: Component 1 and 2 • CIE: Topic 1.6, 1.7, and 3.7 All feedback is appreciated.
