I love making resources which are differentiated, challenging and also engaging. All main tasks will be differentiated at least 3 ways and actual lessons will have solutions with them. A series of lessons (2-3) on finding missing angles in a quadrilateral. There is a variety of tasks ranging from the basics of finding missing angles, linking angles and algebra and also introduction to circle theorems (Cyclic Quadrilaterals). All tasks are differentiated to 3 levels, with solutions and give the pupils the chance to consolidate and also challenge themselves. It is suitable for the 9-1 curriculum as it involves problem solving and reasoning tasks.

A series of lessons (2-3) on factorising quadratics into double brackets. There is a recap on factorising into single brackets and then a RAG task on factorising into double brackets in various forms. There is also a separate RAG task on the difference of two squares. All tasks lead into problem solving questions aswell as allowing all pupils simplify algebraic fractions by factorising. All tasks are differentiated to at least 3 levels. There are reasoning and problem solving tasks which are suitable for the new curriculum. All tasks have solutions so that it is easy for the pupils to mark their work. This has been used and allowed pupils to master the skill and for the more able to develop their understanding

A complete lesson on using and applying Trigonometry to right angled triangles which is suitable for the new curriculum. Pupils are given the chance to master the fluency of this topic aswell as work on reasoning and problem solving tasks. All tasks are differentiated to 3 levels all with solutions and offer lots of consolidation as well as alot of challenge. Can be used with KS3/KS4.

A series of lessons on Reflecting Shapes. This lesson gives pupils enough opportunity to master the fluency, however gives them the chance to use an apply these numbers in varying contexts All tasks include reasoning, problem solving aswell as mastering the fluency of the topic. All tasks include full solutions and worked examples so that pupils can self and peer mark. All tasks are fully differentiated to either 2/3/4 levels.

Pupils are given this worksheet which has 6 different calculations on. It is coloured so each coloured is a different stage of working out Blue - Question Yellow - Stage 1 Red - Stage 2 Green - Solution It models how the pupils should be setting out this question in order for future questions. Pupils have been engaged with this and has worked well with revision and on a poster for pupils. Colours can be removed for the more able students

This lesson allows pupils to practice the skill of finding the area of a parallelogram, aswell as reverse problems and compound shapes in a RAG Task. There are plenty of problem solving questions, reasoning questions to really stretch all pupils and challenge the more able. All tasks are differentiated to at least 3 levels. There are reasoning and problem solving tasks which are suitable for the new curriculum. All tasks have solutions so that it is easy for the pupils to mark their work. This has been used and allowed pupils to master the skill and for the more able to develop their understanding

A series of lessons (2-3) in which pupils must translate shape, and also describe translations using column vectors. The lesson allows the pupils to master the skill on basic grids and then deals with translation of an axis and also performing a series of translations on a shape. There are plenty of opportunities to problem solve and reasoning questions which are in line with the new curriculum so the lesson explores many new style translation questions. There are also worded problems in which pupils may need to draw a diagram to help them. All tasks are fully differentiated and all have full solutions so that it is easy to self mark. This has been used to KS3 and KS4 and offers a lot of challenge to all ability learners.

A series of lessons (2-3) on using the multiplier to calculate compound and simple interest. The lesson recaps using the multiplier to calculate percentage increase and decrease. It move onto using this for interest problems aswell are reverse problems. It has best buy style questions where pupils must choose which option is better. All tasks are differentiated to at least 3 levels to challenge all pupils but ensure they are accessible to everyone, All tasks have solutions to make it easy to mark. There are reasoning questions, problem solving questions and killer questions to make this suitable for the 9-1 curriculum. I have used this lesson and pupils were engaged and challenged.

This is a series of lessons on finding the area of a rectangle. It starts off very basic by finding them by counting squares. However it moves onto finding the area and then onto compound shapes to allow children to develop their knowledge. It then has a series of functional problems and also problem solving questions to make such a basic topic extremely challenging for all pupils. The are some more vague concepts to really challenge the pupils. All tasks are differentiated, 2-4 levels for each task to make it accessible to all pupils but also to stretch the more able. All tasks have full solutions to it is easy to peer and self assess during the lesson. The lesson includes reasoning and problem solving tasks which ensure that this is suitable for the 9-1 GCSE curriculum. I have used this lesson and pupils were engaged yet challenged.
