Telling the time - quarter hour NO PRINT Boom Cards™

(0)
This set of Boom Cards teaches children about telling the time to the nearest quarter hour. It includes sections on: -Quarter past -Quarter to -Matching analogue clocks and written times -Matching analogue clocks and digital clocks/times -Matching written/spoken times and digital times. Each section starts with teaching and practise questions and ends with an assessment stage. During the assessment stage, children are shown a question and, if they provide and incorrect answer, they are shown the same question with additional scaffolding. Children who answer correctly are moved immediately onto the next question. All questions include audio so children who struggle with reading are not at a disadvantage. The audio does not play automatically making it ideal for use both in and out of a classroom setting. Please note: written times are past and to e.g. quarter past three, quarter to four. When reviewing children’s answers, the assessment questions are the card numbers as follows: 11-19 -> Quarter past 29-37 -> Quarter to 49-66 -> Matching analogue clocks and written times 83-92 -> Matching analogue clocks and digital clocks/times 101-112 -> Matching written/spoken times and digital times. A correct answer may be followed by one or two missed questions - this is because if children didn’t require additional support, they will not have been shown the easier question. Click here to access a playable preview. To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with “Fast Pins,” (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Revise year 3 place value, addition and subtraction and multiplication and division through this highly engaging Escape Room. Children must work together to help Santa escape from a mystery location by completing different puzzles which use a variety of different maths skills.
