This is music planning aimed at Year 4, but can easily be adapted for other year groups within Key Stage 2 for their music lessons. There are 6 lessons in total; the final lesson ending with the children creating their own piece of music inspired by what they have learnt over the other weeks and using electrical symbols to represent musical notes.

There are 7 lessons in total, 6 lessons covering different eras of music starting in the 1940s up to the 1990s; the final lesson ending with the children creating their own piece of music inspired by one of the eras covered.

There are 6 lessons in total, which focus on popular music during World War 2; the final lesson focuses on the children applying the skills built up in the previous lessons to create their own piece of music.
