Simplifying surds problem solving activity A fun problem solving activity that covers simplifying surds. Simplify the surds on the outer two spinners and turn the discs such that adjacent surd values are equal. Add a third inner spinner or mix it up with blank spinners and get students to write on equivalent values. To solve the puzzle all answers should line up correctly (SET A). Or for a harder challenge ask students to fill in the blanks by thinking of their own questions (SET B). Blank discs are included (SET C) to mix and match with Sets A and B.
