I do not charge for my resources, not because I do not think they are useful (I do!) but because I really benefitted from the freebies on TES when I was an NQT. I am a Director of English and Media at a school just outside London. We currently deliver GCSE English Lang/Lit and A level English LIT through EDEXCEL and Media studies at A level through AQA. Oh, in case you wondered... I love my job. I geek out writing schemes of work the kids will actually enjoy

A short-ish PPt about Todorov theory for narratology - also Propps character types on a sheet. Good for students of media studies who have not done GCSE.

time’s short - a quick revision lesson that lets them share ideas and work collaboratively. you’ll need copies of the poem ‘look we are coming to Dover’ and copies of the mark scheem (page 58 of the current SAM)

Using pre-exisiting resources as a springboard I have created a radio PPt for AQA A level media. There are project tasks to do with industry and overall reviews. you can download the rationale document for Life HAcks mentioned from the BBc website.

I do not charge for my resources. This is not becuase I do nto think they are useful but because I benefitted from free material on TES as a new teacher and I want to repay that favour. Please feel free to use and enjoy! This is a series of ten lessons designed to ‘puppy walk’ a rusty Y11 class through Macbeth. it mainly aims to focus them on the skills for the whole text response but there are 5 lessons that recap the main events of the play. These are customisable so you can build in activities to suit your class. There is some level fo differentiation the tasks that are there. You will need ot create a resource pack of sample answers from exam scripts for lessons 9 and 10. I hope you find this useful, please do let me know, all feedback really appreciated.

I have drawn from online resources for the info and extracts/reviews. This is a whole scheme of work for Dracula - AImed to support the EDEXCEL A level English Lit. I hope you find it useful. I also include my overview - although it isi a somewhat moveable feast!

I do not charge for my resources. This is not becuase I don’t think they are valuable but becuase I really benefitted from TES resources when I first began teaching; I am paying that favour forward to the next generation. A ten lesson scheme to help embed understanding of Literary Criticism and it’s background - it is by no means comprehensive for MA but it is designed for the beginnign of Y12 when students have very little grasp of any theory at all. works with the Yellow Wallpaper in class and an anthology of short stories at home, all of these were downloaded as © free resources. You will also need to acquire a selection of toddler books, one between two for the class (that will become clear in lesson 9!). Introduces: Feminism, Marxism, Structuralism, Queer Theory, Psychoanalytical Criticism. I hope you find it helpful - all feedback appreciated.
