Students are given a vocational scenario to work from to show that they have an understanding of and can demonstrate good teamworking skills in planning and holding an event to raise money for their chosen charities. Developed for use with small groups of students with additional needs this resources can be easily edited and differentiated to suit. Links to the criteria within the OCN/AIM qualifications but can be easily adapted for other awarding bodies, small group/121 work or non accredited home study. Gives the student a vocational context (working at a chocolate company and being asked to produce a seasonal product), students are encouraged to learn and think about different methods for communicating with colleagues at work, positive and negative communication and the impact of this. Can easily be adapted or stretched into looking at market research, or broken down and covered over more sessions for foundation level students.
