This resource was made to support the new Eduqas GCE A level specification, first exam June 2018. The resource consists of three parts: a recording, student question paper and a marking scheme. Students will require a blank score (NB allowed in the exam). The final 5 marker question is related to the programmatic aspect of this movement. The mark scheme is detailed providing an overview of the programmatic elements. i.e. 'Outline how ‘Nuages’ describes ‘the unchanging aspect of the sky with the slow and melancholy movement of the clouds, extinguishing in a grey softly-tinted white’.

The focus of these resources is on how the music elements are used in Star Wars and acquiring the necessary subject specific terminology using the acronym DR SMITH (Dynamics - Rhythm, Tempo and Metre - Structure - Melody - Instrumentation - Texture - Harmony and Tonality). The elements are dealt with one at a time therefore there are seven power points in this resource. The score is annotated and each slide has an accompanying audio so the aspect of the element being discussed is instantly heard in action.
