Remote working is what many of us are doing these days, so I thought I’d prepare a resource on this for my KS5 students. It mainly explores the advantages through a current video I found. Four-day work week resource here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-12769160

We may have to spend a lot of time at home, so I came up with a few activities that can be done without leaving the house, inspired by the hashtag #quédateencasa, which is currently being used in Spain. Reading comprehension, vocabulary and a writing at the end to say what your plans are for the next few weeks using different expressions.

My own version of an idea I saw on Twitter: a ladder reflecting elements needed for grades. It starts with an easy present tense sentence and finishes with a sentence which includes an indirect object pronoun. This resource can be used at the start of a lesson, to test how much students know on a particular subject or can be given as homework for students to work independently. More worksheets on Theme 2 can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-vocabulary-and-grammar-training-holidays-12099596 Full booklet on Theme 1 can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-vocabulary-and-grammar-training-identity-and-culture-12066070

I came up with some sample sentences for students to refer to past and future on the topic of school. This resource can be particularly useful for those students who struggle to manipulate verbs - you could ask them to memorise a couple of sentences for each topic in preparation for their speaking or writing exam.

It starts with an easy present tense sentence and finishes with a sentence which includes an indirect object pronoun. It can be used at the start of a lesson, to test how much students know on a particular subject or can be given as homework for students to work independently. Content is based on Pearson Edexcel’s GCSE theme 1: Who am I? (pages 1-7) = Relationships; when I was younger; what my friends and family are like; what makes a good friend; interests; socialising with friends and family; role models Daily life (pages 8-11) = Customs and everyday life; food and drink; shopping; social media and technology (use of, advantages and disadvantages) Cultural life (pages 12-16) = Celebrations and festivals; reading; music; sport; film and television Sample on Food and drink can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-vocabulary-and-grammar-training-food-and-drink-12061651
