Has a brief descrition of where the Ten Commandments came from.
Followed by an extract from the bible.
Then there is a slide for each commandment with a picture as reference to help them remember.
Explanation of why Christians need the 10 Commandments.
For the work the children are given the 10 Commandments and they have to discuss which one they find is the most important and put them in an order.
Lower ability children are given the 10 commandments with the pictures that they saw on the powerpoint. Both of these worksheets are at the end of the powerpoint

After each painting there is an explanation of what is shown in the pictures and any symbols.
This is discussion lesson but at the end i have asked the children to choose a picture and explain in as much detail as they can what it shows.

This revisits the key facts - birth/ death, where she was born, what type of artist she was, what a sculpture is and a key quote for the children to learn.
this looks at two key sculptures and a discussion is needed of each one - monolith - empyrean and sphere with inner form

Then a discussion is needed as to which is best - words or picrtures.
Then it looks at how Muslims believe it is better for Allah to be described through words (99 names) and it shows then the first 5 names that Muslims refer to Allah as.
There is then a comprehension style task (answers included)
Then as an extension they have to design a poster to help people remember some of Allah’s 99 names.

Included is two lessons on a debate surrounding palm oil.
For context before i completed these lessons i taught a vocab lesson on what was included in the debate, a comprehension around palm oil and model verbs. This lead into the for and against lesson (included).
This for and against lesson goes into detail about palm oil and what is happening within Malaysia and Thailand and the rainforests. As the work they seperate and decide which statements are ‘for’ and which are ‘against’.
Then they plan their writing on the next day. I made this more of a slow write to help them include everything they need with the chance to free write their for and against depending on what they choose.

discusses the laws that were in place at the time and what would happen if you broke the law and the punishments you would get.
This is a full lesson discussing what a parable is with a key vocab slide with missing words.
It then concentrates on two stories - the house built on sand and water and the lost coin. there is a link to watch a you tube video of the stories.
Once they have watched a discussion needs to take place about the meaning behind the story.
Then the children stick in a picture and write the meaning behind each story.
This is a full lesson that discusses each day of Holy Week and what happened to Jesus.
The children then have to write what happens on the main days. there is a differentiated section where they match up the day with a statement.
