I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

Reading From A Venn Diagram - with Answers

(0)
This is a PDF of two pages and nine questions covering more complex questions on Venn diagrams, largely limited to two set Venn diagrams (though one question is on three sets). These questions take the information given and ask pupils to put them into a Venn diagram and hence answers questions. I have included probability and also conditional probability as it is now appearing on GCSE papers. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

Integration Revision Questions

(0)
This is a PDF consisting of 52 questions on integration. I have used these extensively to give pupils practice in integration techniques - there are no application questions here as the best place to get those is recent exam papers - this is aimed at purely practicing integration techniques. I have included a summary sheet to help with learning the techniques and have always found that students appreciated this. Answers are included. Please leave feedback - particularly if you like my work, thank you.

Small Angle Approximations + answers

(0)
A very underrated topic in most text books - this PDF covers all that you will need to teach / learn the small angle approximations at ‘A’ level. I have approached the topic from various angles to ensure a lot of variability in the style of question and it’s focus - i have not combined it with any other expansions though. I have finished it off with a couple of questions involving the Sine rule and Cosine rule which are a little bit more challenging. Answers are included. Please give feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

The Equation of a Line - Powerpoint Presentation

(0)
This is two Powerpoint presentations, one for foundation level / Key stage 3 and the second is for higher level - they all show a line and asks for the equation of the line. In the first presentation he y intercept is always given so this reduces the it to Foundation Level at GCSE or Key Stage 3. The second presentation is higher level only as the intercept is not given and it includes questions involving perpendicular lines. There are over 30 straight line graphs, different scales have been used as well as negative gradients, vertical and horizontal lines. Great as a starter - slides can be removed if you wish.

This worksheet covers everything you need to revise differential equations. On two pages, this pdf has over 30 questions on variable seperable differential equations, Q1 - has 16 questions which need to be rearranged before integrating, I have included trig, exponential, logs, partial fractions and standards here ! Q2 - just a few parts here where initial conditions are given so that the constant of integration will need to be calculated and simplified. Q3 - 10 are more like examination questions and have more than one part. Answers have been checked several times and numbers used have been manipulated to make interesting questions. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you. Answers are included.

Median & Quartiles of Grouped and Continuous Data

(0)
The pdf consists of 7 questions on finding the median and quartiles of both grouped and continous data. For continous data we should be using cumulative frequency graphs and the questions are suitable for such, but I originally used the sheet to teach linear interpolation so most of the questions are based on grouped discrete data. Answers are included.
