I used this PPT in an A-Level Geography class studying the Advanced Human Geography Topic of Global Interdependence. This lesson focussed on the Life Cycle Model of Tourism. PPT includes: syllabus links (13.3) definition for Carrying Capacity (in relation to tourism) a diagram of the Life Cycle Model of Tourism and brief introduction of the model each stage of the model explained - exploration, involvement, development, consolidation, stagnation and the possible variations in the final phase Blackpool case study example, showing how this location went through the different stages of the model the positives and negatives of the model the final slide has a past exam question task. The content of this PPT could be used to generate task sheets etc. This easily filled a 60 minute lesson.

I used this PPT in an IGCSE class studying Topic 1.3 Migration. The 21 slide PPT covers the following content: the positive impacts of migration on the country of origin the negative impacts of migration on the country of origin the positive impacts of migration on the destination country the negative impacts of migration on the destination country the positve and negative impacts on the migrants themselves The last three slides contain exam style questions. Detailed breakdown of the PPT: -the environmental impacts of renewable sources such as wind and HEP power the environmental impacts of non-renewable sources such as fossil fuels, fracking etc the environmental impact of nuclear power with a short case study on Chernobyl and the local, regional and continental scale impacts of this event the environmental impacts of energy transport, including a short case study of the Exxon Valdez incident the environmental impacts of energy production: local and regiona and globall. This includes information about acid rain and wet and dry deposition, and global warming caused by the enhanced greenhouse effect.
