Complete set of planning, slides and worksheets for place value x2, the four operations, fractions, algebra, area, perimeter and volume and measurements that provide 69 lessons. This has been written with Year 6 in mind but the resources are easily adaptable for other year groups. The worksheets have written with mastery in mind and so follow the following structure: Worksheet One - Works on practise and fluency Worksheet Two - Practise, fluency and reasoning Worksheet Three - Practise, fluency, reasoning and problem solving Worksheet Four - Practise, fluency, reasoning and problem solving (This is a spare worksheet should children finish problem solving on worksheet three) Differentiation is achieved through self-assessment of own abilities to choose which worksheet they do. An activity that gets children to round statistics based on the top 10 followed people on Twitter to help with engagement whilst also getting children to consider how to round up or down appropriately depending on the number e.g. rounding 112,543,124 to the nearest million rather than to the nearest 10. For each one, children will cut out the slip and stick it in their book. They will then have to decide whether it is appropriate to round to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000 or 1000000. Once they have rounded these they will then write an explanation of why they rounded to that number.
