This SOW includes two packs - one practical exploration of Jack Thorne’s adaptation of Let the Right One In based on the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist. The SOW is aimed towards AQA GCSE Drama Component 3 scripted performance. Let The Right One In is a recommened text by AQA. This bundle is ready to teach and includes both practical and theory to best prepare students for the exam. Let the Right One In follows the story of a teenage boy named Oskar, and a 200 year old vampire named Eli, who is stuck in the body of a teenager. Set in 1980’s Sweden, the story surrounds the love story between the two. Oskar lives with his mother in their flat in Blackeberg. He is bullied horribly by Jonny and Micke, two boys in his class. *I do not own any media, script or text used in the powerpoint

This is a full unit of work aimed at KS3 introducing them to vocal techniques in Drama. The SOW includes a PowerPoint presentation that is all ready to go, six detailed lesson plans and all the resources needed. Sometimes students can get stressed about group work, remembering lines or performing. This chill out pass enables them to have time to calm down before the situation escalates. The pass can be easily printed and laminated. It is relatively self explanatory but when introducing the pass be clear about the rules so that it is not misused.

This is a four lesson unit of work encouraging young children to perform poetry. Each lesson is scaffold-ed so that every child can achieve and have fun performing poetry. There are whole class activities and group activities. This unit of work also includes two resources with age-appropriate poems but you would be able to interchange your own poetry easily. The presentation is colourful and interactive but the reliance is on teaching these lessons with energy and enthusiasm, getting little ones excited about reading and performing poetry. ****I do not own any of the poems or pictures included in the presentation.

The overall aims of this scheme of work is to encourage students to be more creative in their devised performances. This unit work is a continuation of my first resource and builds on prior knowledge. It is aimed at KS3 and would be perfect for a Year 8 or Year 9 class. It could also be adapted for a younger class or GCSE.
