Marc Hauser is the President and Founder of Risk-Eraser, a company that emerged out of two passionate interests: to understand human nature and to improve the lives of those less fortunate. Hauser’s PhD from UCLA was at the intersection of evolutionary biology and the mind sciences. He was a professor at Harvard University for 19 years in the Departments of Psychology, Human Evolutionary Biology, and Organismal and Evolutionary Biology. Hauser has published over 300 papers and seven books, and has won several awards for teaching. In 2010, he began working with programs targeting at-risk children (K-12), putting in place simple systems to collect and analyze evidence, combined with novel approaches to learning and decision-making that derive from the neurosciences. Risk-Eraser was founded in 2013, with a special focus on novel software solutions combined with interventions designed to assess and strengthen executive functioning.
