I'm a primary music teacher with over 12 years experience. Over this time I've often been asked by teachers to find a song for a particular topic in a class assembly through science, history and literature. I often end up writing my own songs and now I'm sharing them to a wider audience. All of my songs have been tried, tested, developed and performed with great success. I am offering the performance and backing tracks, sheet music and lyrics.

I am offering the performance and backing tracks, sheet music and lyrics of my upper key stage 1 song ‘The Great Fire of London’. This song is all about the history of the Great Fire of London, how it started, how it spread, and how it affected the people in London at the time. The song encapsulates the mood and sounds of the Baroque era, and children are captivated by the drama and journey that the song takes them. The song is ideal for a class assembly and can be extended through story telling, drama, physical theatre and dance i.e. the movement of the flames. The song has been tried, tested and developed with great success with children in years one and two. It would also be suitable for children in lower key stage 2. The Life Cycle, a song for KS1 and KS2

This song has been tried and tested with children from year 2 to year 6 with great success. There is an optional more challenging counter melody for the older and more able children, and there are plenty of opportunities for rhythmic movements and step/clicks etc. The song is a gentle ‘jazzy’ swing, and children can imagine they’re performing at a venue like Ronnie Scott’s with this new and interesting style of singing. The song brings you through the magical life cycle of the frog, duck and butterfly.
