A set of 40 revision questions to support AQA GCSE Combined Science and AQA GCSE Biology students in preparation for the Biology Paper 1 exams. These were written to match B1 & B2 from Collins SOL and match B1 & B4 from the AQA Specifications.
A Tarsia puzzle for the Genetics topic. This can be used with both combined Science (Trilogy) groups but is ideally suited for Separate Science students.
The resource includes a cut out Tarsia jigsaw which pieces together to form a hexagon, A set of question and answer cards which students can test each other with after and the solution sheet.
A pack of Tarsia puzzles, card sorts and solution sheets for AQA Biology Paper 2.
This covers the following topics:
-B5 Coordination & Control
-B6 Genetics
-B7 Variation & Evolution
-B8 Ecology
A Tarsia puzzle and card sort with solution for AQA GCSE Biology. This matches B7 for the Collins Scheme of Work and supports students in preparing for the Biology Paper 2 GCSE exams.
A Tarsia Puzzle for the Ecology topic for AQA GCSE Biology. This is one of the revision topics for the Paper 2 exam.
This includes:
A set of revision cards
A tarsia puzzle
The solution sheet to the tarsia puzzle
A complete lesson on monosaccharides as part of Biological molecules.
The Powerpoint guides students through comparing alpha and beta glucose and assembling them using molymod.
A list of questions and answers for students to test themselves on the key points of Coordination and control including homeostasis (B5 from the Collins Scheme of Learning).
This includes versions adapted for both combined Science (Trilogy) and Separate Science Biology.
A Tarsia (Triangle puzzle) for students to complete as a revision activity. This resource includes the Tarsia ready to print, a solution sheet and a set of cards which include the questions/statements and answers that students can use to test each other once they’ve finished it

This includes versions adapted for both combined Science (Trilogy) and Separate Science Biology.
An Excel spreadsheet that allows students to check their working for a population genetic question.
Enter the population size and number of people with the genetic disorder and the spreadsheet with show the full working to calculate Allele frequencies as well as the number of normal people / carriers with the disease.
A schedule I’ve produced for my year 11’s that breaks down their revision in preparation for the exams next summer. I’ve referenced against the CGP revision guide for easy access and included some useful links for where students can access past paper questions as part of their revision. This starts from the next of October and covers the entire spec.

A PowerPoint / Keynote activity to give students the opportunity to review their understanding of the following types of cross:
Basic mono hybrid crosses
Monohybrid with sex linkage
Monohybrid with codominance

This is a requisition proforma that I developed for my school. It allows staff to complete their requisitions in a standardised manner which significantly helps technicians in preparing for practical lessons. This pack of templates can work for both 1 and 2 week timetables and also includes a dedicated section for staff risk assessments in line with the recent updates to health and safety guidelines from CLEAPPS.
Before we implemented this template, Technicians would receive 18 different rec sheets all in different formats. Equipment would rarely arrive exactly how you were expecting it. Now, this is no longer an issue and practical lessons run considerably more smoothly.
