A 4 day plan based on the book ‘The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs’ focusing on persuasive writing ending with an independent writing assessment. Initially planned for Year 3 but could be adapted. Included are powerpoint teaching aids, differentiated activities and plan.
Easter Story lesson plan complete with differentiated activities and powerpoint presentation. You can even have Hot Cross Buns and Mini Eggs in your lesson!
Sound plan, should last approx. 8 weeks, covering all objectives on the NC as well as a range of working scientifically objectives The plan is fully differentiated for each lesson. A Year 4 Africa topic plan focusing on geographical aspects of geography. There is potential to adapt this plan for cross curricular links. Has the plan for around last about 8 weeks, include detailed and differentiated activities. Easily adaptable for other year groups.

A 2 week literacy plan, based on the book The Time Travelling Cat and the Egyptian Goddess. It is fully differentited for each lesson. The plan was orginially created for a Year 4 class however it could be adapted to suit other year groups. The plan focuses on description, diary entries and persuasion. There is potential for this plan to be extended.
Forces and Magnet 5 week plan, should last approx. 4 weeks. The plan is fully differentiated for each lesson. Originally planned for Year 3 however could be adapted for other year groups.
Week 1 - Prior Knowledge and Understand pushes and pulls
Week 2 - Know that magnetic force acts at a distance and group objects based on if they are attracted to a magnet or not.
Week 3 - Compare how things move on different surfaces
Week 4 - Predicting whether magnets will attract or repel.
Initially planned for a year 3 class, this is a 4 session, fully differentiated guided reading plan based on the poem ‘Rathers’ by Mary Hunter Austin. This plan has 2 sessions based on comprehension questions, 1 on vocabulary and 1 on interpreting the poem. Included is the plan, text and all differentiated resources.
Climate Zones and Biomes
2 lessons, the first focusing on biomes including an independent research project for greater depth children. The second lesson focusing on climate zones and again including an independent research project for greater depth children. There is potential to extend this plan for more lessons. Initially planned for Year 3 but could be adapted for other year groups.
An full unit of work based on Ancient Greek pottery. This art plan is made up of 8 lessons, focusing on research of Ancient Greek pottery through to practicing clay skills such as gouging and scraping through to designing their own pot and finally finishing with creating the Greek pot. Plan and resources included. Initially planned for Year 4, however could easily be adapted for other year groups.
A 8 lesson plan based on the Ancient Greeks and their influence on the western world. This plan was initially planned and delivered to Year 4 however could be adapted for other year groups. As well as teaching children about the Ancient Greeks, some lessons link to how they influenced the western world as well as including ‘going deeper’ questions for all abilities. To explain that we see things because light travels from light sources to our eyes or from light sources to objects and then to our eyes.
Week 4/5 - Shadows investigation lesson. To use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain why shadows have the same shape as the objects that cast them.

Week 4 - To recognise that living things change over time. To identify how animals are suited to their environment in different ways and that adaptation may lead to evolution.
Week 5 -To know that fossils provide information about living things that inhabited the Earth millions of years ago
Week 6/7- Investigation lessons - To recognise that living things have changed over time.
Week 8 - Repetition of concept cartoon for assessment purposes
15 session guided reading plan based on the book ‘Room 13’ by Robert Swindells.
Initially planned for Year 6 however could be easily adapted to support other year groups.
The plan focuses on comprehension questions, vocabulary, summaries and predictions.
