I'm an experienced English teacher, AQA English Language examiner and sociolinguistics and literature fanatic. On a Saturday morning I am most likely to be found drinking tea from a Barbara Pym mug while enjoying my latest read. I studied for my BA at Leeds before heading to Liverpool to study an MA in Women's Writing and then later on, after a period of working for a reading charity, I undertook my PGCE. I live in Merseyside with my husband and two young children.

Material to cover three interesting lessons on the topic 'Language Change and the Internet' which is an important feature of language change in general, and certainly a synoptic element worth considering for any student studying language change at A Level, and especially those using the AQA examination board. Included are two full Power Point lesson resources and accompanying activities including journalistic material and a text to analyse. There is a close look at the work of Tim Shortis and David Crystal and a link to an interesting TED Talk on the topic.
