Chunking Long Division

There are no remainders in either lesson.
Each lesson is broken down into individual steps with modelled, guided and independent tasks. The lesson works with animations so that only the part of the calculation you are focusing on, is visible on the screen.

This lesson in an introduction to the chunking method of long division.
Set out in a ppt presentation, the method is broken down into individual steps. Each step has animation to support the teaching of the method. An adaptation of the independent task is also available. Answers for the independent task are included on the ppt. There are additional notes in the notes section of the ppt to support the teachers in this lesson.
How and Why Romans Invaded Lesson
A complete lesson with resources and answers. Please check the notes areas for some answers. Aimed at year 4 children learning about the Romans. In this lesson, I created my own playscript for children to act out the three invasions of Britain by the Romans. There is a mind mapping task for the children to complete once they have done the drama.
