Values and vision
Eastbrook School wants to provide a stimulating learning environment for pupils to push themselves to their full academic potential and thrive. It's motto is "Together we learn". It aims to nurture each student's individual talents, and encourages both achievement and personal pride. Students are taught to be considerate and respectful of others and to have a sense of responsibility and commitment for their education. The school has received a number of awards, including the Arts Council Gold Artmark. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are organised for pupils to develop and nurture new skills and talents.
“The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is good. Leaders check that pupils who attend alternative provision enjoy their learning and benefit from courses well suited to their aspirations. The school’s programme of personal and social development creates an environment where pupils say they feel safe. The online survey (Parent View) and the school’s own most recent survey indicate that the vast majority of parents agree. Older pupils have responsibilities within the school, for example reading to younger pupils, and staff set a good example for the pupils”.
