Values and vision
Serlby Park Academy wants all students to feel supported and cared for in a welcoming and inspiring learning environment. It encourages students to reach their full potential and succeed in all that they do and works to nurture their attitude, attendance and behaviour. The values of courtesy, co-operation and enterprise are encouraged, while the welfare of each student is paramount to the successful running of the school, where prejudice behaviour is not tolerated on any level. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are on offer for students to get involved in and gain new experiences outside of the classroom. These range from sports to music lessons. Students are encouraged to become active citizens through a range of incentives organised throughout the year, including fundraising events to support charities. The school holds specialism in Business & Enterprise and Modern Foreign Languages.
“Pupils feel safe at school and have a good awareness of how to keep safe. Bullying is rare and pupils are confident that the school deals with bullying swiftly and effectively. Sixth-form students who attend courses on other sites feel secure about these arrangements.”
