About The Hart School
The Hart School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Staffordshire serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Rugeley has approximately 832 students on record.
Previously Fair Oak Academy, The Hart School was the result of the merge of Fair Oak and Hagley Park Academy in 2016. It was formerly identified as good by Ofsted in 2013. It was awarded academy status in 2011.

Values and vision
The Hart School’s vision is to be provide all students with an innovative learning environment where they can excel to their full potential and feel supported throughout their time there. The secondary school encourages students to be independent and proactive learners, with the motto: “design and shape your world”, guiding them to believe that they can achieve whatever they put their mind to. The Rugeley school has four core values: determination, ambition, respect and trust. Students are nurtured to become active and positive citizens who celebrate difference and diversity. The Hart School wishes for all students to enjoy their time learning and works to provide a broad and balanced curriculum to promote principles including depth, excellence and equity. Students are encouraged to get involved in extra-curricular activities to broaden their learning opportunities and gain new experiences outside the classroom.
