Need a fun (and completely unfair) way to revise some of the Year 6 SATs arithmetic style questions? Then you definitely need to play That’s Not Fair!

This games includes 21 questions based on the KS2 SATs Maths paper 1- arithmetic. It also includes answers for each question, along with a practice question to ensure all players understand the rules before beginning.

The rules are simple, but incredibly frustrating:

  • Pick one person to be the quiz master- it is best if this is an adult. They are responsible for reading out the questions, checking answers and keeping track of the score.

  • Split into roughly equal sized teams

  • Make sure each player has somewhere to write down their answers.

  • One team goes ‘into play’. It is their turn to answer the question. If they get it right, they get to decide to keep or pass the points, if they get it wrong, the next team has the chance to answer.

  • Sometimes there will be positive points, sometimes they will be negative- the teams won’t know until after they have decided to keep or pass.

  • This game is deliberately unfair- keep this in mind as you play and make sure you are respectful to all players during the game.

Good luck, and please remember- it’s not fair!
