2022 AS ADVANCED INFORMATION MEDIA STUDIES VISUAL LEARNING/ REVISION MATS FOR BOTH COMPONENTS

This resource was created in an effort to help learners of all abilities engage with and understand the information provided to us by the EDUQAS Exam Board regarding the 2022 exams. The pack includes:

-A visual breakdown of both Component 1 and 2 with key timings, suggested areas of focus and colour coding to aid with retention.

-One slide summaries on ALL 9 theorists.

-Advice of what to look out for as well as example question for each section of both exams, some past questions, some adapted.

IMPORTANT: Should you not be studying the same optional texts as me on Component 2= Life on Mars/ Vogue/ Zoella, I have included the original power point so that you can easily alter the document, to match the texts you have taught. In addition, I have specific pages mentioned that come from my own personalised A2 revision guide that I wrote my students. Although A2, this provides students with the opportunity to stretch/ develop their writing using the additional 10 theorist studied in Year 13.

NOTE: I am following EDUQAS Teaching Model 1 in my teaching/ SOW and my school is providing Media Studies as an AS/A2 . Moreover, each lesson has a task whereby students RAG (Red, Amber, Green) what they have learnt in the lesson against an Examiner checklist (Differentiation, peer assessment).
