Slides to take students through reading Stave 1. Including some ‘intro to Dickens’ and ‘strategies for reading 19th C’ and charity advert analysis.
Lots of differentiated tasks and opportunities for think, pair, share student talk and role play. There is a non-fiction reading worksheet with comprehension questions that can be used as a homework.
I have made these to support a non specialist cover teacher and for students at home isolating so have made them as clear, accessible and easy to use as possible.
You could load these up and walk through it without much understanding of ACC and still have a decent lesson!
There is a cloze worksheet to summarise the Stave after working through the slides.
