Develop secure foundations in number with this structured set of addition and subtraction within 10 worksheets, designed to build fluency and confidence in line with the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
Pupils begin by counting fingers and thumbs to represent calculations, supporting concrete understanding before moving towards more formal written number sentences.
Through progressive steps, pupils build addition and subtraction equations using visual cues. Visual supports are gradually removed so pupils can solve calculations in both horizontal and column (vertical) formats.
The resource also includes mixed addition and subtraction practice, missing number problems, and bonus activities for consolidation and challenge.

Almost unlimited. At the click of a button located at the bottom of the worksheet all numbers change, so you can create as many different worksheets for classwork, homework, review, , or just simply practice at any time to keep the skill alive throughout the whole year.
You could also use any of the worksheets to explain the topic to your class (projected onto a whiteboard) as they will be different from the actual worksheets you give your students.
