This revision activity was created using the latest AQA A-Level Psychology specification (2025) although content and activities may be useful for other specifications.

This is an A3, double sided document with picture prompts to act as cued recall. Included is a teacher version where I have annotated each picture.

How I use this: At the end of the unit, students first blurt their annotation around each picture. Using a different colour, students then add any further information that they couldn’t remember.

Content covered:

  • Neural & Hormonal mechanisms in aggression
  • Genetic factors in aggression
  • The ethological explanation of aggression
  • Evolutionary explanations of human aggression
  • Frustration-aggression hypothesis
  • Social learning theory
  • De-individuation
  • Institutional aggression in the context of prisons
  • Media influences in aggression
  • Desensitisation, disinhibition and cognitive priming

I have uploaded an approaches version of this activity for free, so you can trial and see if this works for you, before purchasing the activity for other units :)
